Acrimonious

As I amble down the streets at nightfall,
I notice just one astonishing thing,
I cannot see past the bright lights at all,
Only the cool, dark skies could heal the sting.

Ashamed I am at my once tiny ville.
I dream of when all was direct and clear.
To see the stars I climb atop a hill.
I jump, surprised to see a little deer.

Lacking fauna is this big concrete world.
The flora so washed out and lost as well.
So many times has my head spun and twirled,
But in this negative mood I shan't dwell.

Although I seem disgruntled and distraught,
To cherish or to neglect is my thought.
