A Capricious Cause.

I genuinely believe I may have the most erratic closet in history.
Am I the only one who goes through style phases like tissue paper?
I guess that's better than how some girls go through boys like tissue paper.
Maybe it's because I don't know who I am yet, or maybe it's because I'm just an erratic person.
Am I impressionable or am I original?
I can't figure out which one it is.
I like to think I'm avant-garde when it comes to fashion.. sometimes?
Sometimes I'll toss on a pair of American Eagle jeans along with a Hollister shirt embroidered with the brand name across my chest because I want to blend in. Other days I'll be wearing a beaded jumper with an indian medicine pouch. Some days I wear whole outfits of Nike or Puma, and others I'll wear t-shirts with "Save The Whales/Earth/Trees/Owls/whateverelseneedssavingthesedays" that are made out of organic material. I also have my SK8R GRL moments, along with my floral dress moments.
Maybe it's because I'm against stereotyping? I don't really belong in a clique. I'm a pretty mutual person.. I like it that way.

My iTunes library is pretty eccentric, too.
Dependant on my mood, I'll listen to everything from Bach to Metallica to Sum 41 to Britney Spears to TLC to Bryan Adams to Collective Soul to Bay City Rollers to Jay Z to Alison Krauss and Union Station to Dj Khaled and Ciara... you get the point. I've got over 3000 songs, and always listen to my music by genre.

Am I weird?

What is weird?

  1. I do that too. Mostly with my hair and to a lesser extent, clothing. I just wear whatever I feel like wearing however I want, aand hair is just fun to cut into cool designs. (my hair is so damn long right now, but that's more because I'm shaving it at relay for life.)

Bach and Metallica contrast eachother quite well. I have 12000 something songs.
by the way - "I've got 300 songs..." is redundant. It's like saying "I have got 18 cookies."

What are your organic clothes made of? Organic cotton? hemp? soy? bamboo? flax? I have to say that hemp is probably the strongest and most environmentally friendly and bamboo is the softest, most magical.

  2. Dear Claire,
Though I very much enjoy reading up on your latest closet-related shinanigans, I believe that your lack of a little profile/thumbnail/whatever picture next to all your posts and comments really draws attention away from your wonderfully phrased scriptures and towards the big stupid silhouette. I say this as a good friend and fuckbuddy, GET A PICTCHA! You'll REALLY blow everyone away with your super-fun professional new look.

    hugz n kissez,
    Raine
